Webinar Series
An important part of this research project is to look at the current climate of PrEP access, rollout and uptake. Once informed by community members, we want to contribute to bettering the delivery and provision of PrEP when long-acting options hit the market. In working to understand the current status of PrEP, The Future of PrEP is Now team has begun a webinar series. This series includes conversations with leading 2SGBQM community members, service providers, and healthcare professionals sharing their experiences and opinions about daily and long-acting PrEP.
Part 1
PrEP: Where Are We Now?
Learn about current PrEP options and regimens, barriers to access, and what gaps exist in HIV prevention due to intersectional, systemic discrimination. Community leaders and academics from key undereached populations share their perspectives on PrEP perceptions, access, and uptake within their communities.
Part 2
PrEP: Where Are We Going?
Learn about the future of PrEP, in particular the new injectable PrEP options for people not currently reached by oral PrEP. We discuss the rollout of oral PrEP and how to build strong, community-centred plans to ensure that those who may benefit from long-acting PrEP know about it, can access it, and feel comfortable doing so.
